Aluminum

Extrusion (Baled/Loose)

Description:
Aluminum extrusion scrap consists of clean, uncoated hard aluminum 6063 profiles that have been formed by extrusion. These are uniform in composition and are available with less than 1% attachments, paint, thermal breaks, or contamination.

Source:

Sourced from window and door frames, structural aluminum components, and architectural applications.

Uses:
Recycled into high-grade 6000 series aluminum alloys which are used in construction, automotive, and aerospace applications where structural integrity is essential.

Taint Tabor (Bundled/Loose)

Description:
Tabor scrap consists of clean, old aluminum sheet products that may show signs of weathering or previous use but are free from significant contamination and is available with less than 1% attachment.

Source:

Collected from roofing sheets, siding, household appliances, and automotive panels.

Uses:
Recycled into rolled aluminum products for use in packaging, construction, and transportation.

Taldon (Baled)

Description:
Taldon refers to clean, baled aluminum used beverage cans (UBCs) that are free from excessive moisture, contamination, or foreign materials available with less than 3% attachment).

Source:

Primarily recovered from post-consumer recycling systems, collection centers, and material recovery facilities.

Uses:
Melted and reused for producing new beverage cans or aluminum sheets with high recycled content. Used for making 3000 series alloys.

Talon

Description:
Talon scrap includes clean, soft, shiny, unalloyed, and uncoated aluminum wire that has not been used in service. It is bright and free from insulation or contamination.

Source:

Generated from electrical cable manufacturing facilities and unused surplus from electrical installations.

Uses:
Reprocessed into aluminum rod and wire for electrical and conductor-grade applications.

Tense/Trump

Description:
Tense consists of mixed, clean aluminum castings typically from automotive and machinery components. It may contain both aluminum alloy castings and is available with less than 1% non-aluminum attachments.

Source:

Sourced from dismantled engines, machinery parts, gearboxes, and other cast aluminum structures.

Uses:
Melted for manufacturing secondary casting alloys used in the automotive and industrial sectors.

Troma

Description:
Troma consists of clean, unplated aluminum automobile wheels. These are alloyed castings, usually free from valve stems, weights, and other attachments.

Source:

Obtained from end-of-life vehicles and tire shops.

Uses:
Melted for alloy production, often reused in new wheels and other automotive castings.

Brass

Honey

Description:
Honey is a mix of clean brass solids and clippings, available with less than 3% attachments of aluminum, manganese, and excessively dirty material. It includes yellow brass castings, rod turnings, and valves.

Source:

Sourced from plumbing fixtures, electrical fittings, mechanical parts, and general brass manufacturing scrap.

Uses:
Melted for the production of brass ingots and components used in plumbing, marine hardware, and decorative applications.

Copper

Berry/Millberry

Description:
Berry is clean, unalloyed, uncoated, and uninsulated copper wire, typically at least 99.9% pure. It is bright and shiny in appearance.

Source:

Recovered from electrical wiring, power transmission cables, and industrial wire production waste.

Uses:
Used in the production of high-conductivity copper rod and wire for electrical and electronic industries.

Birch/Cliff/Candy

Description:
Birch includes mixed unalloyed copper scrap that may have light coatings or tarnish. It includes pipe, wire, and bus bars with less stringent requirements than Berry.

Source:

Sourced from plumbing, construction sites, and electrical installations.

Uses:
Refined and used in copper products where ultra-high purity is not required.

Talk

Description:
Talk is industrial and automotive radiators primarily made of aluminum with copper pipes.

Source:

Heavy industries and automotive vehicles.

Uses:
Processing into separate aluminum and copper fractions, or for copper and aluminum alloy manufacturing.

Zinc

Mixed Zinc Scrap

Description:
This category includes a variety of clean zinc scrap materials, such as sheet zinc, and anodes. It includes iron, aluminum, magnesium attachments

Source:

Sourced from aluminum foundries, galvanizing operations, roofing, and zinc die-cast components.

Uses:
Melted and refined for use in galvanizing, zinc alloys, and chemical production.

Zinc Die Cast

Description:
Zinc die-cast scrap includes clean, unpainted, and uncontaminated zinc-based die-cast items, primarily from automotive and appliance components.

Source:

Recovered from dismantled consumer electronics, die-cast products, and automotive parts.

Uses:
Used to produce secondary zinc alloys for casting new components in the automotive and electronics industries.
